Quartz worktop composition

Why 93% Quartz Content is Vital

Raw quartz is actually a comparatively expensive material. For that reason, some manufactures, particularly in the fast east, make quartz worktops with lesser quantities of quartz, for example 80-90% - this has been tested by some of the biggest manufacturers of quartz such as Silestone. This saves money and makes the worktops cheaper; but it also decreases the structural integrity! In fact, lower grade of quartz worktops fitted only a few years ago with lower quantities of quartz are now having to be replaced. This is because the structure starts to crumble and chip away.

We only ever use worktops with 93% quartz so guarantee structural integrity for a lifetime.

The Other 7%

To make the colours, patterns and flecks of quartz we add a mixture of resins, polymers and pigments in precise quantities. In fact, these quantities and components are put together in laboratories and kept secret by the various industries.

All that matters for our customers is that the finish is luxurious and stunning to behold.
